Made from 100% natural flax linen, our ‘Oat’ cover exudes effortless style. The Barney linen cover is designed with your convenience in mind, it pops on and off with ease for quick and convenient washing. The best thing about natural linen is how it gets softer and more comfortable with each wash, making it even more difficult to get your dog out of bed. Please note as linen is a natural fiber, it is more delicate than our other covers. If your dog tends to scratch their bed, we recommend choosing a different cover, as the natural linen is not suitable for scratching. Our linen is undyed to keep it as natural as possible, however this means that there may be slight variances in color from different production batches.

About the Barney Covers
- How do I fit the cover on my Barney Bed?
There are two types of Barney Bed Covers; Zip Covers and Slip-On Covers.
Zip Covers replace your original Barney Bed cover and create a fitted look. You need to remove the memory foam mattress and chin rests from the original cover and reinsert them into the new cover. Check out our video tutorial to help fit your Zip Cover here.
Slip-On Covers slip over your Barney Bed’s original cover like a fitted sheet and create a relaxed look. The elastic base on the cover makes popping your cover on and off easy so, washing your Barney Bed cover is simpler than ever. Check out our video tutorial to help fit your Slip-On Cover here.
- Is the cover waterproof?
No, our covers are not waterproof as we designed them to be as comfy and soft as possible and waterproof materials are not often comfy to the touch. We have, however, designed the covers to be super easy to remove and wash whenever needed. We created the Waterproof lining Kit which you can fit over the interior of your Barney Bed- just like your own mattress protector, which will fully protect your Barney Bed from water/pee accidents.
- Are there any other colors?
The Barney Bed is sold in its gray colorway cover and the Barney Signature Bed and BarneyCurl Beds are sold in the Bone colorway cover. All additional covers are sold separately.
- I already have a bed. Do you sell just the covers?
Yes! Please choose the same size cover as your Original Barney Bed. Our covers are specifically designed to only fit the Barney Bed. You can check your bed size on the tag inside your cover or if you have any questions about the bed size you ordered, please send an email to hello@barneybed.com and we’ll be happy to look up your order.
- I fit my zip cover on my bed, why doesn’t it look fitted like the photos online?
This is because your original cover needs to be fully removed, and the memory foam inserts need to be inserted into your zip cover. Our zip covers (Bouclé Cover, Teddy Covers, Arthur-Itis Cover, Jet Black Covers) are a replacement for the original cover and are not intended to be fitted over the cover.
Care Instructions
Our Slip Covers are designed to fit on and off your Barney Bed super easily, which makes washing a breeze! To wash, simply take the cover off your Barney Bed and wash on a cold, gentle machine wash. Do not use bleach or any harsh chemicals. Wash with similar colors. Air dry your cover in the shade inside out. Do not tumble dry.

*Free shipping for orders over $300 applies to the contiguous US only (excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico). Orders under $300 will incur a shipping fee of $14.95. Beds in sizes S, M, L and LP always ship free in the contiguous US. XL and XXL beds are oversized items: delivery is $79 per XL bed and $99 per XXL bed. Zip covers, Barneycles Towel Covers, Butter Slip Covers, Furfy and spare foam parts ship in their own parcel, which has its own delivery fee: $19.95 per order.
For Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, shipping is calculated at checkout.
We also offer international shipping to Canada & Mexico. Shipping fees will be calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note duties and taxes may apply for orders destined to Canada and Mexico.
All in-stock items are typically dispatched within 2 business days outside of sale periods and usually arrive within 2–5 business days after dispatch, depending on your location. We use UPS and FedEx for all our orders. Please note: During sale periods, dispatch times may be delayed by up to 10 business days due to high order volumes. We appreciate your patience as our team works hard to get your order out as quickly as possible.
Warranty
We offer a 12‑month warranty on covers against manufacturing defects only. This warranty applies to defects due to faulty workmanship or materials. It does not cover normal wear and tear or damages due to rough dog use, which includes but is not limited to; excessive scratching, biting, chewing, digging. Barney Bed will not be responsible for any damages resulting from not following the care instructions. Please see Full Warranty Details on our FAQs page.
Returns & Exchanges
Change-of-mind returns must be requested within 14 days of the delivery date. The cover must be unused, free from dog hair and in brand-new condition to be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Please note: Items marked as final sale are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges. Faulty items are always covered.
