About the Barney Covers

How do I fit the cover on my Barney Bed?

There are two types of Barney Bed Covers; Zip Covers and Slip-On Covers.

Zip Covers replace your original Barney Bed cover and create a fitted look. You need to remove the memory foam mattress and chin rests from the original cover and reinsert them into the new cover. Check out our video tutorial to help fit your Zip Cover here.

Slip-On Covers slip over your Barney Bed’s original cover like a fitted sheet and create a relaxed look. The elastic base on the cover makes popping your cover on and off easy so, washing your Barney Bed cover is simpler than ever. Check out our video tutorial to help fit your Slip-On Cover here.

Are the covers waterproof?

No, our covers are not waterproof as we designed them to be as comfy and soft as possible and waterproof materials are not often comfy to the touch. We have, however, designed the covers to be super easy to remove and wash whenever needed.

We created the Waterproof Lining Kit which you can fit over the memory foam pieces inside your Barney Bed - just like your own mattress protector, which will fully protect your Barney Bed from water/pee accidents. Our Original Barney Bed comes with a Water-Resistant Lining, and the Waterproof Lining Kit can be purchased separately here. Our BarneyCurl Bed comes with the Waterproof Lining Kit included.

Can I get the Barney Bed with a different cover?

The Barney Bed is sold in its original gray cover. Any additional covers are sold separately.

I fit the cover on my bed, why doesn’t it look fitted like the photos online?

Sounds like you have a cover with a zip! The original cover needs to be fully removed before you attempt to fit the new cover. To do this, remove the memory foam mattress and chin rests from the original gray cover and reinsert them into the new cover. Please watch this video for step-by-step instructions.

Care Instructions

Our Zip Covers unzip like a dream with the YKK Zipper and are machine washable. To wash, simply unzip the cover and remove the foam inserts (don’t forget the chin rests!). Wash on a warm, gentle machine wash. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals. Wash with similar colors. Air dry your cover in the shade inside out. Do not tumble dry.

For Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, we provide low-rate shipping options.

We also offer low rate international shipping to Canada & Mexico. Shipping fees will be calculated at checkout based on your location. We are pleased to cover all duties and taxes for orders destined to Canada and Mexico.

All in-stock items are typically dispatched within 2 business days outside of sale periods and usually arrive within 2–5 business days after dispatch, depending on your location. We use UPS and FedEx for all our orders. Please note: During sale periods, dispatch times may be delayed by up to 10 business days due to high order volumes. Warranty

We offer a 12-month warranty on covers against manufacturing defects only. This warranty applies to defects due to faulty workmanship or materials. It does not cover normal wear and tear or damages due to rough dog use, which includes but is not limited to; excessive scratching, biting, chewing, digging. Returns & Exchanges

Returns must be requested within 14 days of the delivery date. The cover must be unused, free from dog hair and in brand-new condition to be eligible for a refund or exchange.

Comfortable bed forever

The moment I unboxed the Barney curl bed, my little toy poodle jumped into it even before the bed had fully inflated. So comfortable. Simba loves it. This is his second Barney bed. He also owns a Barney rectangular bed which is still as good as when purchased 4 years ago.
